A laid back, naturalistic garden for a young creative family

A project in collaboration with interior designer Studio George, who worked her magic on the interiors. The garden is a warm and inviting garden designed for a creative couple and their two daughters. Inspired by the outdoor lifestyle of southern california, the garden embraces outdoor cooking, entertaining and living. 

The design includes deep, stepped beds of naturalistic planting that can be seen from the second you open the front door, but also has space for children’s play areas. A pale pink wall carefully conceals a rustic and deliberately modest outdoor kitchen, whilst crazy paving interspersed with grasses and erigeron brings a softness to the space. 

A garden designed to be enjoyed and lived in, the clients take excellent care of this garden themselves. We continue to visit, advising on planting edits and additions as the garden evolves.
